I don't know why the conversation in the J-31 thread has turned into how the PLA is bankrupt. Was there an article published jumping for joy the PLA has run out of money? If so... please link. If not... is this just wishful thinking? Funny how China is charged with being secretive especially when it comes to the military yet somehow when there's no news, it's all about technological failures that China can't recover from or now bankruptcy. How would you know if China is so secretive? Since when did China have to give nobodies in other countries a personal invitation in order for things to be officially confirmed or else it never happened? If you've noticed, the bar of what China could never do has been raised to adjust to the nightmare called reality. And I'm not talking about China having a stealth fighter program which many did not believe could happen let alone have two at the same time. Remember how they said since the government owns everything, advancement is lost because there is no competition? Well what's the J-31? It's said SAC funded the project on its own. How does that happen if the state is the final say on everything? Like other countries aren't competition too that spur advancement? Then to believe the PLA is bankrupt is absurd. Like the military isn't a priority to the government? They'll make dozens of ghost cities as charged by the West costing unimaginable billions yet somehow something prevents them from funding the military? Let's not forget the PLA runs businesses, including non-military related, of their own. If the PLA runs their own businesses, then it's not hard to believe CAC and SAC are too. Maybe because that doesn't happen in the West, that's somehow a negative? I call that entrepreneurial if they're making money to fund their own projects. The irony is China is being painted as different from the norm yet those very people use the template of their own system to understand China.
