Yeah.. I was a little surprised the artist would draw that on the J-31 knowing that logo was already taken by the J-15.
He should've draw a Flying Panda on it instead.

Agreed, but given the name "Gyrfalcon" a new name more in line with "White-tailed (Sea-)Eagle or "Sea Eagle" (Haliaeetus albicilla) or even better "Osprey" or "Sea Hawk" (Pandion haliaetus) would be much better.

The shark logo might be a squadron insignia, so could be used on several different aircrafts.

Project could be in "frozen" status - no money allocated for further development , but you could still test what you already have and possibly try out some equipment for other projects. IMHO, this is the case with J-31 , neither PLAAF nor PLANAF want them and there is no foreign investor . My bet is that perspective medium-sized Chinese 5th gen fighter will be somewhat different then J-31 . We shall see.
Maybe they can incorporate whatever they find into a new J-10 design that deserves a new letter designation.

I think We have already seen the Incorporation of J31. Into J20 the latest models of J20 with there altered tails wings and structures
