We can only hope that this fine aircraft, someday, will be built in some numbers and we can see her from the various angles and configurations that would let PLAAF enthusiasts drool to their heart's content.

I hope to see this aircraft in foreign air-force someday not too far. Pakistan might be the first foreign customer to get it should it ever enter production.

I think its a trick of light and shadow, the photographer is shooting from a fixed point below as the J21 is making a turn, the sun is shining from the forward right quadrant so the left engine is in shadow.

Good catch Mace, they definitely appear different in this photo, but I would bet my last Benjamen that at this stage of development, there is NO way they would be mixing and matching engines, and these are still the RD-93s. This is a very aesthetic well proportioned airplane, this always leads one to believe it will fly well, lots of wing and very sufficient control surfaces, would lend themselves to supermanueverability, one of the initial and very important objectives of the ATF.brat

Comapre with colors of other parts of aircraft, it does appeared that the engine noozzles are different in colors.
