I think the red landing gear bay interior is quite interesting, haven't seen any other planes with that colour. Is it only to look good or is there any deeper meaning to this?

I know it's got to be there somewhere, I just realized I had not seen it in any of the pictures... Now why the J-20 has to have it so big? Some tradition, too? Anyway, I sure am glad that they can choose to have it small, too, then.
it's been pondered around about J-20's huge actuator housing,
J-31 photos are not exactly showing them well, the ones in high res are not showing because of angle, the ones in good angle is in low res
EDIT:
if the actuator housings are designed like those in the F-35, you'd probably need pics like this to see them :
the Funny thing is, when you google keyword for F-35 flight control actuator, it actually gives you the link to F-35 contractor website, plus the specs, and images of the item, first page top of the list

Now this may be silly... Do the J-20's control surfaces move more "violently: (wider range and faster) than those on other fighter jets, which may necessitate more poweful, hence bigger, actuators?
not really as it is not that much faster compared to J-10 or Rafale for example, while the 'spasms' look quite impressive
the second part of your question, will demand a technically knowledgeable answer, and i don't have it
