The second one is obviously a J-11... they might be the escort aircraft for the J-31 or a totally different and unrelated photos.
That, my friend, is a MiG-29 Fulcrum, not J-11.

The talk was in the late sixties that MiG-21's were difficult to find visually over North Vietnam because their engines didn't smoke, unlike US engines. What happened?
i still say looks more like the f-35!!!
what a smoke
and this one got much worse
I'm calling BS and PS on this one. First of all, the second picture is clearly of a Mig29, I can't believe so many of you thought it was a J11 or Flanker.
Secondly, none of the other pictures or the video showed even a hint of smoke. The amount of smoke seen in the above picture is also inconsistent with even the earliest JF17s, when it was noted that their engines smoked, but even those engines were not that smokey. The latest RD93s that China have been installing on JF17s do not produce any smoke at all any more.
Based on all this, I am pretty sure the smoke was PSed in by some sad troll who just cannot take this bird flying and decided to create some negative news when none existed just to try to pi$$ on China's accomplishments. Truly sad.
Hmm, I thought it over and over and over again, and I happened to come to the same conclusion: These people are truely sad, sad, sad... I'm in tears now... That is, if these are really PSed by some truely sad, sad, sad, sad creature...
Honestly, I do not know why some fanboys resort to this, and then it gets picked up and passed around as authentic.
People for some reason get a kick out of passing around mis-information..
Obviously, the two photos were intended to illustrate the smoke of the RD-33/RD-93 series. Wonder why you guy's professional eyes cannot distinguish Flankers from Fulcrums!
