Perhaps this comes at the right time, considering the recent positive development of Beijing-Tehran relations:

I also think that Iran is the best place in Eurasia for china to invest. Iran is far more stable than Afghanistan or even Pakistan now and the products can be sent via train to china which other place in the world can't do

Going from china to Europe through Kazakhstan getting a lot of emphasis now due to the Russia/Ukraine conflict. Unfortunately, all these routes that go south pretty much has to go through Turkey into Europe unless you want to give up on railway.

Mongolia is kind of important in many infrastructure between China and Russia. Especially with POS 2. It's also a major coal producer. In the future, China should approach Mongolia about building large wind farms and then exporting that energy back to China. In many ways, the climate in Inner Mongolia and Mongolia should be the same, so the green solution that works in Inner Mongolia should be quite ideal in Mongolia also.

One of China's signature BRI project with Cambodia is almost complete. Should be great for Cambodian economy

From what I've gleaned from PDF the power distribution, transmission losses are the bigger problems for electricity in Pakistan. That and people stealing electricity from the grid without paying.

Iran proposes creation of joint bank with African states

The proposal was made on 6 March during the first day of the Scientific and Economic Cooperation Meeting Between Iran and West African Countries. R`ezaei stressed that Tehran could “give a boost” to many advanced industries in West Africa.

“In the past centuries, Western countries have looted the wealth of African countries by exercising domination and establishing colonial rule,” Raisi said, before adding that “for the Islamic Republic of Iran, the development of relations with Africa is not for the wealth of this region, as [Iran] seeks the progress and welfare of all nations.”

The Iranian president also offered to lift “ineffective regulations and tariffs” to bolster economic ties and facilitate the transfer of knowledge and new technologies to the African continent. He also spoke about the “similar threats” faced by Iran and West African states, particularly from extremist armed groups that receive the support of foreign states.

“With its human and natural talents and capacities, Africa can make significant progress by uniting and standing against colonial policies, and we believe that the conditions are ripe for cooperation and helping this development and progress,” Raisi concluded.

Iranian Trade Minister Reza Fatemi Amin said on Monday that Tehran wants to establish an increased presence in markets in West Africa and plans to sign nearly $2 billion worth of trade contracts and memoranda of understanding with the countries of that region.

Non-oil exports from Iran to Africa increased by six percent in the first 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year when compared to the same period the year before. According to the Vice President of Iran and Africa Merchants Club, Ruhollah Latifi, Iranian traders exported over two million tons of commodities worth over one billion dollars to African states over the same period.

Now we know why US getting agressive toward China at this moment, their effort to divide the middle east is challenged.

It's quite a power move for China to mending ties between Iran and Saudi, hopefully this will lead toward long last peace in this region and stop conflict in Yemen.

this is a good look at this from the Duran crew. Obviously, they are biased, but they do make some good points.
Clearly, a huge boon for China/Iran/Saudi and a huge loss for America and Israel.

Huge win for the conservative wing of Iran since they are bringing more security & possible financial improvement for the public. If they don't get attacked (will be harder for Israel to attack them now), then China probably has safe partner for a while.

Shows more maturity & confidence for MBS, who is obvious turned off by the oil price cap move among other things. MBS likely has backing of all the princes now. If he doesn't get overthrown, China has a strong ally here with Sunni countries.

America is likely to get forced out of Syria, where they have been stealing oil.

Does Turkey join this alliance?

If we look at things from the Chinese perspective. What did they bring to the table?
First, I think they need to bring Saudi security. Iran and Russia just signed Su-35 deal yesterday. this is right when Saudi FM visited Russia and re-affirmed OPEC+ ties. Made not a lot of sense at the time given the Saudi/Iran relationship. Now, it makes sense if China has also guaranteed security to Saudi Arabia through more regional support + arm sales. We can guess what that is: FC-31, KJ-500, 052D, CABs, HQ-9s, submarines, Ballistic missiles. And probably guarantee that if Iran goes nuclear, China will hep Saudi goes nuclear also.

For Iran, China can promise more financial/technological support if Iran stays off nuclear weapons and proxy wars.

For rest of Arab countries, China already know has friendly gov't in UAE where it sells a bunch of weapons, Iraq where it dominates the oil field, Oman where it buys most of their oil export, Egypt where it's been selling weapons, Algeria where it's been selling weapons.

All around, it just needs to do more of everything. And get these countries to trade in RMB as much as possible. Get them included into BRICS and SCO. Bring along Turkey if they are not too demanding. Sell Turkey weapons.

Keep in mind that the Ukraine conflict has stripped bare many of the weapon storage of Western countries. Russian weapons have been exposed. China is the only one able to deliver weapons in timely manner now. It's China's time to gain more influence over energy trading.
