so any rational human being would see all the benefits that china Laos railway brings to local population

Except of course if you are writing for a western news site. Of course, it's a problem for a small county right next to China to depend on and listen to China. But it's absolutely normal for the entire Western hemisphere to be under US control.
It's Voice of America. What did you expect? Rationality is the last thing an actual propaganda outlet is concerned with.

Sany is a major factor in powering Africa. It has 20B RMB in revenue over the 22 year it has operated there and sold over 23000 vehicles. It is the top exporter of construction machineries from China to Africa.

good example here of how cheaper Chinese product has benefitted global south countries.

Couple of news from today. Li Qiang is making a visit to Belarus to strengthen ties.

Iran is opening trade centers in both Shanghai and Minsk which will surely also strengthen ties. China buys 1/4 of all non-oil export from Iran. And probably most of the oil. So yeah, Iran is really dependent on economic ties with China.

arctic sea route is happening for container ships now. Before, this was mostly tankers. I think they are still trying this out, but it certainly speeds things up big time.

if this Arctic route trend continues, and the trickle eventually turns into a flood for the summer at least, then can one surmise that it will be woe to Singapore for the loss of much of the summer-time shipping transit stops there to and fro China?

I certainly wouldn't shed a tear for Singapore if we can bolster China's trade routes at their expense.

The same can be said about Marcos and look what happen.
Not really. Marcos took months to go to Beijing. This guy is apparently going to Beijing 3 days after taking power. This is after Vietnam leadership has been sending premier or president to Beijing every few months over past 2 years. And with Chinese businesses controlling most of the factories in northern Vietnam. Vietnam at this point is chasing China for ever more economic integration.

Not everything is about Philippines. Philippines is getting left in the dust by every other ASEAN country engaging China.
