Russia, North Korea may sign deal on preventing dangerous military activity in 2015
Russia expects in the near future to complete the effort on renewing an agreement with North Korea on mutual exchanges

MOSCOW, June 23. /TASS/. Russia believes it is possible to sign an agreement with North Korea by the year-end on preventing dangerous military activity, the speaker of Russia’s lower house of parliament, the State Duma, said on Tuesday.

At the meeting with the chairman of North Korea’s Supreme People’s Assembly, Choe Thae-bok, Sergey Naryshkin said Russia hopes to intensify the effort on improving and updating the legal basis of bilateral relations.

"We believe it is possible to sign by the end of the year two important documents: a treaty on mutual legal aid on criminal cases and an agreement on preventing dangerous military activity," he said.

Naryshkin praised the "high readiness" of these two documents, stressing that "they may be signed already by the end of the year."

Russia expects in the near future to complete the effort on renewing an agreement with North Korea on mutual exchanges. "This is also an important document that would contribute to a further increase in bilateral exchanges between the two countries," he said.

A draft agreement between Russia and North Korea on preventing dangerous military activity was approved by the Russian government in 2014. Under the document, the sides intend "to display high caution and prudence in the activities conducted near the territory or stationing of the armed forces of the state of the other side."

Each side shall take the necessary measures for "the prevention of entry of equipment and personnel into the territory of the other state due to force majeure circumstances or as a result of unintentional actions."

The sides also shall prevent "the use of laser radiation to the detriment of the other side, as well as the creation of obstacles to ensuring national security of the other state." "The sides shall take all the possible measures to promptly stop and settle by peaceful means any incidents that may happen due to dangerous military activities," says the draft agreement.

In order to fulfill the agreement, the sides plan to establish a special joint military commission, and its first meeting is due to be held no later than a year after the document enters into force.

China, Russia companies sign 10 framework deals at Innoprom industrial trade fair
This includes cooperation in building underground railways, developing rail transportation services, exchanging construction materials as well as legal proceedings, automated systems and robotics

YEKATERINBURG, July 13. /TASS/. Chinese companies have signed 10 framework agreements with Russian partners on cooperation in various branches of industry during an international industrial trade fair held in Russia's Urals city of Yekaterinburg from July 8 to 11.

Tian Yongxiang, China’s consul general in Yekaterinburg, told journalists on Monday: "This year, China has acted as a partner country of the Innoprom fair. A big delegation from our country has arrived in Yekaterinburg."

"Some 130 companies have taken part in the exhibition. Ten of them have already signed framework agreements with Russian partners," Tian told a news conference at the TASS-Urals regional information centre.

He said the accords referred to cooperation in building underground railways, developing rail transportation services and exchanging construction materials as well as working together in the worlds of legal proceedings, automated systems and robotics.

"Russian and Chinese companies continue bilateral meetings at the moment to formalize the agreements achieved and start implementing joint projects," Tian added.

The Innoprom fair, organized under the patronage of the Russian Ministry for Industry and Trade, is dedicated to intelligent technologies, materials and solutions resulting in higher production efficiency.

It assembles enterprises and companies offering solutions for production modernization and creating technologies that increase efficiency, speed and quality, and improving the ecological performance of manufacturing processes.

This year’s forum has attracted representatives from 46 Russian regions and more than 70 countries worldwide. The biggest delegation came from China.

Last year, Russia invited China to become its partner country at Innoprom-2015. This was announced at a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Shanghai.

Land Forces in the 2nd quarter received 155 units of armored vehicles, 1,872 units of motor vehicles, the brigade set of operational-tactical missile complex "Iskander-M", 18 units of missile and artillery, divisional Set anti-aircraft missile system S-300V4, about three thousand units of communication, four stations EW, about two thousand parachutes and parachute systems, 32 short-range missiles.

Air Forces in the 2nd quarter received 49 planes, 14 helicopters, 24 radar stations, 95 anti-aircraft missiles, more than 10 thousand units of air weapons.

Naval Forces in the 2nd quarter received the submarine Project 636, three search and rescue boats, a hovercraft, nine radar stations, 50 anti-aircraft missiles.

Strategic Rocket Forces in the 2nd quarter received seven mobile launchers, eight intercontinental ballistic missiles, 19 machines to ensure alerting, two car engineering and masking, six counter-sabotage combat vehicles.

Space Forces in the 2nd quarter received 2 military satellites.
