Look's like Russia is having some technical difficulties with trying to show off it's military.

Tu-95 Bear Bomber Crashes Near Russia’s Border With China

Old planes, new and somewhat green crews and lot of flying hours in past few years . Basically, lot of hardware in Russian inventory is quite old, maintenance is the problem .

Btw, Slava-class cruiser Moskva made a test firing of cruise missile (probably P-500 Bazalt or P-1000 Vulkan ) in Atlantic , near the coast of Angola . No videos so far , but hopefully they would release some footage, it would be interesting to watch .

MOSCOW, July 16. /TASS/. A group of ships of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet comprising the Moskva missile cruiser, the Pytlivy escort ship, the Shakhtyor rescue tug and the Ivan Bubnov tanker has entered the eastern part of the Atlantic for an exercise, Black Sea Fleet spokesman Captain 1st Rank Vyacheslav Trukhachev said on Thursday.

"A sea battle was one of the main exercise elements in which the Moskva crew test-fired a missile on a target simulating a surface ship. The cruise missile hit the target," he said.

In an air defense drill, the Moskva missile cruiser fired the Fort antiaircraft missile system and naval guns on an aerial target. The Pytlivy crew also conducted artillery firing exercise hitting a surface and an air target.

"The Kamov KA-27PS helicopter of the Moskva cruiser deck-based aircraft was used to verify the firing exercise efficiency," Trukhachev said, adding that after the current manoeuvres the Black Sea Fleet warships’ group will continue its ocean mission.

those girls are tired old chicks, and that is a lot of airplane, not something that you throw a new coat of paint on and go. No doubt our B-52s are in the same era, but with a LOT more money and training time thrown at them?

think of your grand-ma in a rocking chair with a shot-gun laying across her lap? still dangerous, but with limited application and range??? get it, got it, good!

gun, has been developed for the needs of Russia’s Defense Ministry and will be demonstrated during the closed part of Army-2015, an international event organized by the Russian Defense Ministry, the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and state technology corporation Rostec, which will be held on June 16-19.

“The new system is equipped with a high-power relativistic generator and reflector antenna, management and control system, and a transmission system which is fixed on the chassis of BUK surface-to-air missile systems. When mounted on a special platform, the ‘microwave gun’ is capable of ensuring perimeter defense at 360 degrees,” the representative said.

The system is capable of out-of-band suppression of the radio electronic equipment of low-altitude aircraft and the assault elements of

Yes, the image itself shows nothing more than a fan-art what-if of the new PAK-DA ... the An-124's successor.

But even if widely reported by several news-groups as a supersonic transport ... IMO it will (it COULD in fact) be only a subsonic design.
