The second helicopter carrier for Russia completes first sea trials
(Defensa.com) The Sevastopol, the second helicopter carriers for the Russian Navy ship being built by French shipyard DCNS ended last Friday the first sea trials in the presence of company personnel DCNS, prime contractor, and STX, subcontractor. They boarded the ship around 200 people who could perform three shifts of eight hours continuously.
These tests take place in mid-April as the ship was scheduled to be delivered to Russia during the last quarter of this year. However at present it is unknown whether or not ultimately receive Russian ships, as the French government decided to halt delivery due to conflict in Ukraine. France and Russia agreed in 2011 to build two helicopter carrier derived from the French Mistral class adapted to the requirements of the Russian Navy, leaving the door open for the construction of two other ships under license in Russia. The amount of this agreement stood at 1,370 million euros. The first of the ships, the Vladivostok, should have been delivered on November 14 last year.

The French newspaper L'Opinion 'recently stated that the current situation will cost Paris also 5 million euros per month only with regard to the maintenance and protection of ships, which would remain in France.
The range of possible sanctions would extend further. On March 3, Russian Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov, suggested impose trade sanctions on French entities for refusing to give Russia the Mistral class helicopter carrier. In this regard, I would have suggested the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who oversees policies related to national defense, directing a "policy statement" to the company's communication RSCC national satellite in order to break relations with the satellite European provider Eutelsat SA, based in Paris. The total value of contracts signed between RSCC and Eutelsat amounted to 658.9 million euros.
Nikiforov have suggested in a letter that "For planning or policy under repeated indication of the FAS (Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia) suggest changing the results of the contest GPKS (Federal State Unitary Enterprise) in the design and manufacture communication satellite Express-AMU2 [in relation to the contest in 2014 where he earned the victory EADS Astrium] and RSCC suspend lease agreements satellite capacity with Eutelsat SA French operator ".

I guess we would have to wait for Victory Day parade for actual shape and size of Armata tank . But I guess it would be lighter and smaller then Abrams in accordance to Russian doctrine . Nevertheless , armour levels should be significantly increased, especially if they reduce crew to just two man (unmanned turret) .

Agreed. This is all speculation. The bright side to all this is that if is produce in the typical Russian mass quantity then the Russians may have a fire sale on their stocks of T-72 and T-80s.
