Actually, according to designers, ARMATA will have better protection of turret then any existing tank , including Abrams, Leopard or Merkava . This is partially because of its small size (smaller volume and somewhat increased weight means much thicker and more slopped walls of the turret) .

Real question would be protection of hull, especially sides and rear , because to keep weight limited those areas cannot be armoured as rest of the tank .

The location is believed to be real. this is a earlier video many point to as the same location with a T90 Crossing a road.
Why did the T90 cross the road? Ask the Chicken.

And then there is this the ? now the vehicle behind it is a BMD 4M which is roughly 2.5 meters ( BMD is actually taller then BMP) in height it's sitting not to far back so perspective is a factor but height wise the Kurganets hull alone looks to be about the same size as the BMD with turret Meaning it would easily sit higher then BMP1/2/3 as well. it also has wider tracks and a much heavier hull. I would even dare say it looks like a Bradley IFV in hight

When we look at the Armata tank and this IFV the Russians seem to be super sizing there armor.

That is not a "FAN" concept, it is one of the concepts shown on international aviation forum by Victor Tolmachev from Volga-Dnepr company chief designer of An-124, so it was concept from an engineer who already did remarkable work.

Okay I retract Fan from it but it's not going to happen, It was a concept competition and that particular model is not going to be built.
