In 2015, will begin testing the aircraft A-100 "Premier"

In early January, the command of the Air Force talked about some of the plans for the new year 2015. Over the next few months, the Air Force experts will hold a series of tests of various aeronautical engineering of new models. In the future, new technology will need to replenish part of the Air Force.

Spokesman of the Ministry of Defence for Air Force Colonel Igor Klimov told the press that in 2015 the State Flight Test Center (glycyl), located in Ahtubinsk Astrakhan region will have to test a range of new types of aircraft and helicopters. Specialists will inspect and review the PAK FA aircraft, MiG-29K / KUB, IL-112, MiG-35, Tu-142MRM, Il-22M, Il-114R, Tu-214R, A-100, as well as the Ka-60 and Mi-28nm. Moreover, those skilled GLITS to work with a number of new types of aircraft armament. One of the major new projects in the interest of the Air Force, is the creation of aircraft airborne warning and control system (AWACS) A-100 "Premier". Machines of this type will have to supplement and eventually replace the existing A-50. With this new technology will have significantly higher performance-to-date. The first AWACS new model is planned to transfer the troops already in 2016. On the development of a new aircraft A-100 became known in the autumn of 2010, when the management of the group "Vega" presented the current work to create complex avionics for future AWACS aircraft. It was also announced that the first flight will take place in 2015. As a basis for the new machine were considered military transport aircraft IL-76 and AN-124. Over the next few years from time to time repeatedly, there were reports on the progress of the project. So, over time, the project completion date was moved in 2017, but later asked the customer to accelerate the work. As a result of all the changes test aircraft A-100 is now scheduled to begin in 2015. The reason for the timing offset to the right previously called unavailability of basic Il-76MD-90A. In recent years, the project has reached the stage of testing and deployment of production, allowing the newly adjust plans on the plane "Premier".

Recent news suggests that testing AWACS aircraft A-100 can actually begin as early as this year. November 21 the first production aircraft Il-76MD-90A (serial number 01-03, registration number 78651) was transferred Beriev. GM Beriev (Taganrog). Beriev experts will have to be installed on aircraft complex special electronic equipment, which "turns" in freighter aircraft airborne early warning and control. Converted Il-76MD-90A is the first prototype of the aircraft A-100 "Premier", which will be used in the tests. Unfortunately, most of the information about the project "Premier" remains a secret. There are only the most general features of the new AWACS aircraft, as well as characteristics of the base Il-76MD-90A. Recall Il-76MD-90A is a deep modernization of the Il-76MD with new engines, avionics and some updated units. The aim of the project was to upgrade the aircraft to increase its performance, as well as the transfer of production technology at the Ulyanovsk Aviation Plant "Aviastar-SP". One of the main innovations of the project Il-76MD-90A are used PS-90A-76 with a thrust of up to 14,500 kg each. The complex avionics widely used modern avionics. In particular, the aircraft received the so-called glass cockpit - a large part of the instrument panel in the cockpit hold multifunction color liquid crystal displays. By updating the design and use of new engines the maximum weight of cargo increased to 60 tons. The maximum range increased to 6000 km. In the cargo hold of the aircraft will be deployed basic units of the new electronic equipment designed concern "Vega". On the upper part of the fuselage is arranged radome. According to some, apparently new AWACS aircraft A-100 will be similar to the existing A-50 machine similar purpose. Precise data on the composition and characteristics of the electronics are still unknown, although some applications allow you to build certain assumptions. According to some reports, the new radar for aircraft A-100 will use active phased array antenna, which should significantly improve the characteristics of the plant in comparison with the equipment of the aircraft A-50. Some sources mention that the radar aircraft "Premier" should have higher performance detection range and the number of timed and tracked targets in comparison with the aircraft A-50. Precise is not disclosed.

Known information on existing aircraft A-50 suggest that the maximum detection range new AWACS aircraft will depend primarily on their EPR. Thus, the detection of large targets, such as surface ships, can be made at ranges up to the radio horizon. Detection range of aerial targets should reach several hundreds of kilometers, depending on the type of aircraft. A-50 aircraft is capable of tracking up to 300 air targets. Such an indicator of the new aircraft "Premier" is likely to remain at the same level or higher will. Now employees Beriev. Beriev engaged in the refurbishment of the first production aircraft Il-76MD-90A, which in the near future will be the first prototype of the A-100 "Premier". Tests of this aircraft may take some time, but the beginning of the supply production vehicles of this model is scheduled for next year. Until the end of this decade is expected to deliver 39 aircraft to the troops "Premier". In the coming years, the plant "Aviastar-SP" plans to increase the pace of construction of transport Il-76MD-90A to 18 cars a year. Some of these aircraft will be equipped with radars, some will be the basis for future aircraft refueling, and the rest will be delivered to the customer in the basic configuration of a military transport plane.
