Russia introduced temporary restrictions on enriched uranium exports to the US
This is a tit-for-tat measure against the restriction of Russian uranium products imports introduced by the US for 2024-2027 and the ban to be imposed by it since 2028 onward
MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. The Russian government has introduced temporary restrictions of enriched uranium exports to the US, with the relevant decree being signed, the Cabinet’s press service reports.
"This refers to exports of enriched uranium to the US or under foreign trade agreements made with persons registered in the US jurisdiction. Supplies under one-off licenses issued by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control constitute an exception," the press service informed.
This is a tit-for-tat measure against the restriction of Russian uranium products imports introduced by the US for 2024-2027 and the ban to be imposed by it since 2028 onward. Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered in September 2024 at the meeting with the government to analyze the possibility of limiting strategic raw materials' supplies to international markets.
