EVRAZ NTMK invested 1.8 billion rubles in improving the quality of railway wheels

The company has completed the construction of the third final inspection line for railway wheels.
Every year, about 300 thousand wheels will undergo quality checks at the facility. The new line consists of modern equipment:
- laser geometry meter;
- two ultrasonic testing units;
- two magnetic powder flaw detection installations;
- unit for cold marking of wheels;
- robotic painting chamber;
- shot blasting unit.
The launch of LVK-3 will make the work of employees easier, and will also allow one of the existing lines to be stopped for reconstruction without loss of production volumes.

Tolyatti Steel Wheel Plant increased its production capacity by 2 million units per year
One of the largest manufacturers of steel wheels in Russia, the Tolyatti Steel Wheels Plant, has increased its production capacity of stamped-welded wheels for passenger cars and commercial vehicles by 2 million units per year.
The new robotic lines installed at the enterprise are the first in Russia, which allow the production of wheels with a diameter of 18 to 19 inches.
Investments in production expansion exceeded 500 million rubles. Of these, 337 million rubles. provided by the Federal Industrial Development Fund (IDF), the fund's press service reports.
The company, using funds from the Federal Investment Fund, purchased an automated wheel rim production line and a stamping line for disks with a diameter of 13 to 19 inches.
Thanks to this, the total production capacity of the enterprise increased by 2.3 times - from 1.5 million to 3.5 million wheels per year. The company supplies products to large wholesale and retail chains selling car tires and rims. Increasing the production of steel wheels in Tolyatti will allow the company to occupy up to 50% of the Russian steel wheel market, the report notes.
In addition, after completing the nomination procedure, the plant plans to supply stamped-welded wheels for AvtoVAZ and automobile manufacturing enterprises.
