Rostec at CIPR-2023: new IT solutions and strengthening the country's digital sovereignty
For the first time at CIPR, we are demonstrating the Iridium secure virtualization platform, independent of any foreign software. Our solution allows us to effectively solve the problems of import substitution and carry out simple and fast migration from foreign analogues. A unique orchestration system coordinates and manages IT systems and services automatically. Due to its structure, it allows you to immediately start operating the system, without investing in staff training.
Frankly speaking, today all over the world you will hardly find more than 7-8 development teams capable of creating their own virtualization solution, independent of the major market players. And we are proud that one of these teams is Russian and works within the framework of the state corporation Rostec
Rostec faces tasks, including in the field of civil aircraft manufacturing. From the operator's point of view, not only the supply of new aircraft plays an important role, but also the organization of a convenient after-sales support system by the manufacturer. In Western countries, these processes have long been automated, but what about in Russia?
We pay great attention to the support of the operators of our products. For the first time at CIPR, Rostec is presenting a product for integrated automation of aircraft maintenance.
The customer must be provided with high-quality information services for each aircraft or product in a single window format. At the moment, such an information system is being implemented at the Irkut Corporation on the Superjet and MS-21 projects, individual system modules have been put into commercial operation, and the functionality and services provided are being actively expanded. We plan to complete the wide introduction of the system by the end of 2025.
Import substitution usually means the reproduction of existing foreign designs that, for one reason or another, have become unavailable on the market. Don't you think that with this approach we will forever be in the role of catching up?
We are talking not about import substitution, but about technological sovereignty. The purpose of this work is to create our own solutions, independent of foreign support, providing a high level of information security. Let me emphasize: the task is not set to repeat what was done by foreign developers. We are confident that it is in our power to create original solutions that can exceed foreign analogues in terms of functionality and quality. The country has the scientific and technical reserves necessary for this.
