Outstanding Popeye! An understandably proud dad.

Tell your son about the Race Roby Creek event here in Idaho. It's run every year in April and is a half marathon where they have to run up and over a 4,000 foot mountain in the process. One of my sons enters it fairly often.

Anyhow...we are having cool weather here. Was 63 degrees yesterday, and the low was 37 this morning.

My kind of weather!

Thanks Jeff.. He's in a athletic club in Saginaw that gives him all that information. Next Saturday he will be doing another mini triathlon in Chicago.

Last evening we had some serious storms here. Our electricity was out for two hours. There's some damage around the area. We are fine. Thank God! Amen!

Popeye, that is a stark comparison between your son and you, seeing how fit your son is and how big your belly is... ;)

ex=USS Edson (DD 946) in Bay City MI. We went aboard her last Friday. It was very cool weather day. It was great to talk to the shipmates aboard that are doing volunteer work to get the ship squared away. Photos by Mrs Popeye..

This shipmate pictured above was a cook aboard Edson from '68 to '71. He comes from Florida to lend a hand on re-furbishing the ship....The galley aboard Edson is functional thanks to this shipmate! He got it squared away!!

I'm going through them right now! If things go the way they're going I may need Rogaine and bifocals in a few years :"(

We don't care about cute girls checking us out. We are married.

As for my weight...About three yeas ago I weighed about 45lbs more than I do now...and I'm 60. My son is 34. I do not drink alcohol or use tobacco products. Also when I get my physicals all my vitals and blood work is normal. The doc told me my lungs, liver and kidney function is that of a young man. Also my job requires me to walk about 4 miles a day.

So there!:p

Good for you! My dad has a belly problem as well. Whenever my dad and I stand next to each other, it's just like you and your son, except that I am not as fit as your son. So that's why I couldn't help but gave you the belly joke. Whenever I visit my parents, I like to rub his belly. Like you, he is also completely healthy and walks about 5 miles a day for exercise. The only thing I worry about him is he goes overboard on the walk and injure himself. So I always remind him to go easy a little on the walking.
