We finally broke into the 90s today here in this part of Idaho.

We'll have summer weather now through the middle of September, and then it will start cooling off again.

we're looking forward for a cool air in the Czech Republic, country high on Sunday was:
34.2ºC = 93.560ºF (in downtown Prague!), on Monday:
35ºC = 95.000ºF (in Pilsen, yeah the beer town :) and today, I just checked:
35.9ºC = 96.620ºF (at the Slovak border in a small town known because of the heat, something like Miami heheh)
Speaking of the US, the problem here is most people can't afford to drive to work and they commute in buses, trains without air conditioning, and most of them work in various production/assembly/storage etc. halls which are not air-conditioned either (only if it's necessary for the business -- not so that workers felt cool LOL) ... but things can be worse like in a takeaway pizza joint, which is situated on top of a subway station at which I change: there's a digital thermometer, under a roof so it's shadowed, by that joint (I mean outside of it) and was showing 43ºC = 109.40ºF around half past six pm. I can't imagine fixing pizzas in there today.
But personally I'm fine, I keep 24ºC = 75.200ºF in the room I work :)
Here, fortunately, the humidity is relatively low, though (about 50%, so the "Feels Like" figure is almost the same as the measured temperature).
I know I know, a long post, but Real Life :)

Well, yesterday was 94 degrees Fahrenheit. Warmest day of the year yet.

But a cool front came through last night and today the high was only 68 Fahrenheit. Tonight going down in the mid-40s. Nice and cool!

We are still at the lower 90's here in the H-town, mostly 90 and 91. So not too bad just yet.

I just came back from Seattle and Vancouver the other day and oh how I missed that weather and scenery of mountains, oceans, and beautiful women as well.

Yes...but, hehehe...I bet your humidity is much higher. With humidity of 50% here, even 90 can be fairly comfortable by comparison.

Uh ha! I knew you were going to ask me about the infamous texas humidity. It is sitting as of now at 75%, I know, I know. It is definitely not the most confortable thing to have. But it's almost heaven considering it will get up to 99% in no time... :p

Happy Father's Day to all the dads and all your dads!

Thank you!

Today we returned from our road trip to Saginaw MI. We went there to visit my son. Gasoline all across Michgan is now $3.99 a gallon. Here in eastern Iowa gas is $3.42. a gallon that's quite a difference.

We had an enjoyable stay. My wife and myself went to a musuem ship in Bay City MI. USS Edson (DD 946) . She is a
Forrest Sherman class DD. I'll post some photos later this week.

ex=USS Edson (DD 946) in Bay City MI. We went aboard her last Friday. It was very cool weather day. It was great to talk to the shipmates aboard that are doing volunteer work to get the ship squared away. Photos by Mrs Popeye..

This shipmate pictured above was a cook aboard Edson from '68 to '71. He comes from Florida to lend a hand on re-furbishing the ship....The galley aboard Edson is functional thanks to this shipmate! He got it squared away!!
