Thanks, AFB, but I'll tell you the simple truth: I prefer to sit in the pub I mentioned in #894 here :) But what I read on the SDF can be useful in that pub, as I'm asked navy-related questions from time to time, after something appeared in daily press of a land-locked country :) like, How can it be that a warship is propelled by electricity?? (related to the DDG-1000, not the New Mexico battleship LOL) or, What's so special about that US carrier?? (related to the CVN-78, of course) ... and as you can imagine, those questions have to answered right here, right now! :)

Well I'm sure my little brother could get you a coupla hours in his C-150, a little flying would loosen you up quicker than that pub, but I would enjoy a nice visit to your home country, has always been high on my list of cool places, lots of aircraft manufacturing etc.....I do wish I could have come, I know I would love it. brat

Does anyone here play Battlefield 4 on the PC? I have been wanting to get it since the holidays but have read that it is still very buggy.

Well misery has managed to find a new name!

About ten days ago a rather sensitive tooth that I was neglecting, in order to finish the busy time of year, suddenly decided to turn into a full blown abscess - lovely!
I hastily managed to see the dentist, who duly reacquainted me with the joy that is root canal work, but declined to grant my request for Antibiotics, which was a shame as there was residual infection and it found its way straight into my sinuses.

I am not sure if I have even yet experienced real agony, but this probably has come as close to it as I have so far managed in my life.

Result - an extra week unable to work and of course not spending very much time here over the last few days either.

Me - none best pleased to say the least.
Mrs Sampan (who has bourne the brunt of the consequences) even less pleased than me!!

Personally I did not have any problem with a couple root canals. I didn't experience anything of what I've heard people say about root canals. I had a filling pop off on the back my molar and didn't take care of it. So when it finally chewed into the root... that was painful. You can't sleep because that's the worst where the blood flows to the tooth more laying down. My advice find an honest dentist. I went to one of those chain dentists and they told me they couldn't save the tooth and had to pull out the whole thing and were ready to until I backed out because I wasn't ready. Lucky I did because pulling out a tooth in itself is nothing. Their angle was to get me to buy an implant which could cost thousands of dollars more than a root canal job. I went to another dentist who wasn't a part of a chain and that dentist was able to save my tooth with a root canal. Those bastards at the chain were going to pull out my savable tooth just so I would have to spend a lot of money on an implant.

Think of it this way PE.... NO more tooth aches or expensive dental bills,or dental cosmetics, bad breath from tooth decay and when you need a replacement ......use a 3D printer and make ones own. Anyway like sharks nature should have given man the ability to continuously replace lost or damaged teeth.

Totally agree with you BD.
These things are little toxic time bombs just ticking away in your body if left un-dealt with.
I had spent the previous few weeks complaining about being tired and a bit run down. I had put it down to a busy winter and the fact that I am starting to get on. In reality it seems that I was feeling the early effects of the toxins being released by this blasted tooth!

Point being, that even before these things turn acute, they will be already affecting you and slowing you down!
