Er... No... Japanese photographer are quite ex. They need the Pakistani to train them in these type of PR shots. Look at the video the Pak did for the induction of J10.

They don't even need anyone new to do this. The younger generation of Chinese are more than capable, it's just all these old people in the field who can't adopt or change to the new style.

In terms of photo shoots, China's own official ones has been lousy for years.

Send them lot - including their editors - for a week long training in Russia, and that should sort them out...

Very aftermarket as a kit, but is basically is exactly what they need to "fix" the standard QBZ-191 rifle and carbine variants. Basically just a free floated handguard which is the important bit. The cheek riser at the rear is very much optional and is neither here nor there

Almost like a URGI-ized version of 191.

I wish they could have removed some of the attachments on the rifle so we could see how the top side integrates things like the adjustable gas block and iron sights are fitted.

That said the first three images seem to show a different handguard to the last one.

That outward/downwards cut of the forward part of the handguard is an interesting way to extend the bottom of the handguard for more 6 o'clock length while seemingly retaining the adjustable gas block on the top.

What’s everyone’s view on the reciprocating charging handle? That’s the thing on this gun I really don’t like besides the non free-float hand guard. But I understand the reason for not going free-floated since the impact to accuracy isn’t really going to matter to ordinary line troops much.

The reciprocating charging handle feels like it will be a bigger issue as it means the handle can snag on things and jam up the gun during firing.

This was also the chief criticism of the original SCAR (other than being a professional optics killer I suppose). So I wonder if we will see future version of 191 with non-reciprocating charging handle, just like how the SCAR went.

I don't really see this as a big deal. How often does the charging handle get snagged vs the gun gets jammed? I'd imagine most would rather have the ability to clear a stubborn jam using the charging handle than bashing the gun repeatedly on the ground or prying with fingers while under enemy fire.
