QBZ-191 service rifle family

It’s hard to gage as the video is clearly playing with speeding up and slowing down. However a number of rifles use an intentionally reduced rate of cycling to increase control. SAR21 for example and some modifications to the AR15 family particularly FERFRANS rate reduction system. If you can drop the rate of fire the weapon is still able to pin down its targets but much more able to be retained on target and it’s easier to train infantry to do so as you don’t need to keep them on the range as long burning through as much ammo.

I don't think that is wrong but I do think that kinda ruins the point of full auto. If accuracy and control were needed then semi is the way to go. But back to my topic, I want to clarify what I was saying. The gun's fire rate is fine, I was talking more about the sound not matching up with the fire rate and sounds slower than what is shown.

The reduced rate of about 500-600 rounds per minute vs 900-1000 the reduction reduces stress on the rifle prolonging service life. As you can see it would still be a high rate of fire. The aim of a rifle in suppressive fire is to keep heads down. That is not normally a hip shooting magazine dump but rapid short controlled bursts. So it’s not really ruining the concept.
Next I did point out that the video has been clearly doctored. In terms of speed of play this may be the cause of the audio vs video sync going Kung fu movie dub.

It's could be a civilian/export version with reduced rate of fire. That's just my guess.

We can agree to disagree on the fire rate. I do not think the video is sped up except for when the cameraman was moving towards the target for close-up and the obvious slow-motion shooting sequence. Everything else seems normal speed to me. I think they just got an audio problem.

The audio on the original video seems fine to me. On the imgur rehosted video it may be slightly out of sync by half a second.

The bolt release is on the left, above the magazine release paddle.

Am i the only one that thinks that the serial number could have been censored in a more subtle way? It takes away most of the action and the gun. The International shooting competition actually had them put tape and decal stickers on the serial instead of using digital blurring like they previously did.

We've known about the bolt release since its announcement in 2019. Got the same pictures in the early post here. They could've just duct-taped the numbers on the gun with some paper or something if they wanted to hide it.
