QBZ-191 service rifle family

After a quick inspection, I noticed that the rifles don't have those peq-like MILES laser box. How would they "tag" someone if they don't have those devices?

QBZ-191s with the laser engagement systems attached (first three images below).

Note the older, fat guy in both pictures... and could not find him in the later photos showing PLA soldiers having to overcome some demanding exercises.

PLA officers love to show off in front of the camera when the move is not that demanding. And they disappear from the camera in the exercises that requires a lot of hard work.

How far away the PLA is from becoming KMT army back in late 1940s?

I just saw this comment of yours, and I think it merits a reply. The "older, fat" guy in the photo is Ayideng Tursunbek (阿依邓·吐尔逊别克), an ethnic Kazakh who has been serving in the PLA special forces for more than 13 years. A highly decorated soldier, he was wounded multiple times while performing counter-terrorism operations in the far west.

So no, contrary to your asinine hot take, this "older, fat" guy is no pencil pusher or a keyboard warrior. In fact, he is stationed on the Karakoram Plateau as we speak.

The sad truth is that Mr. Tursunbek has likely accomplished far more in an afternoon than you likely ever will in your entire life.

But hey, life ain't fair. Some people lead productive and meaningful lives, while others become namesakes for a

The PLA apparently conducts counter-terrorism operations too, or at least the special forces elements stationed in the Xinjiang Military Region do. The missions aren't well publicized, but for years we've been seeing training footage of PLA soldiers doing precisely that, including joint exercises with Pakistani Army's anti-terror units. In Mr. Tursunbek case, his unit is stationed somewhere on the

I can tell you have very little hands on experience with anything military. it is actually quite easy to tell if anyone young or old fat or skinny is the real deal or just posing for camera. in this case, you can see the fat guy you are referring to using proper shooting stance, and he wears all of his kit properly, also notice details such as keeping both eyes open when looking through the scope, finger off the trigger etc. to a trained eye it is actually pretty obvious that he is not doing this stuff for the first time.

ps can someone tell me what is in that little pocket on the old guys back?

And speaks eight different languages too, including Urdu, Pashto, and Farsi.

@pesoleati, not too shabby for an "older, fat" guy, don't you agree? By the way, you must be a scrawny pencil-neck if you think he's fat. Have you grown pubic hair yet, kid?

Everyone knows that, no need for calling everyone out when it's trolls who comes in here and starts flame baiting. The replies have merit as it's to call trolls out. Non-troll members haven't started any of this off-topic discussion and it definitely isn't something that needs to be discussed elsewhere when a direct ban on the trolls is more appropriate.
