RPGs first stage of launch is considered a recoilless launch, and a number of the shells launched do not use the independent rocket.
... Wut? The initial stage propels the rocket about 10 meters before the second stage, way too close to be considered safe detonation distance. I am unaware of any munitions that turns the RPG7 into a recoilless gun unless its some sort of training dummy rocket.

The initial launch from the tube is via explosive charge. Once clear of the tube then the main rocket fires. This is why the RPG has back blast and little to no felt recoil. Of course its not entirely one but neither is it not one. It’s in that weird spot on the military Vinn Diagram of Recoiless rifle and Rocket launcher. It sits between the two with characteristics of both and neither. Mission wise is in line with the type.
Also the OG7 anti personal round generally lacks a rocket motor.
This said it’s all besides the point. As the main thing was to point out that the term recoiless falls into a category of weapons well out side the automatic weapon and small arms like the Kord 6p67/A545, Kord 6P68/A762 (both Russian SF service ordered 2020 number unknown) , AK107 and AK108 rifles which use a balanced recoil system to attempt to reduce felt recoil.

Note the older, fat guy in both pictures... and could not find him in the later photos showing PLA soldiers having to overcome some demanding exercises.

PLA officers love to show off in front of the camera when the move is not that demanding. And they disappear from the camera in the exercises that requires a lot of hard work.

How far away the PLA is from becoming KMT army back in late 1940s?

I'm sorry but what? Show me what later photos you're talking about because if not then you're talking out of your ass.

You do realize that the photos were taken in Xinjiang and Eastern China, respectively, right? It'll be kind of difficult for the "older, fat" guy to show up in an exercise thousands of miles way from where said exercises are taking place.

And for your information, all PLA officers, even ones in civilian roles, need to pass tests (physicals, shooting, etc.) post military reform.
