This ship was originally designed to support amphibious landing with their rapid fire gun. I am glad they modernized it with domestic weapon, radar, communication. I don't see ASCM YJ-12 on Hangzhou

The photo in Attachment 44304 is undated - who knows what has happened to the ships since it was taken? A full comprehensive refit may well have taken place. Only examination of recent photos will prove whether or not the ship has VLS fore and aft and new SSM's fitted.

Exactly .... too early to decide the final configuration of these babies ....

I think the best way to know whether the U VLS is installed on these ships it to have a high resolution picture. The main difference between the U VLS and the VLS used for the Type 54A is that the U VLS have no middle exhaust while the HQ-16 VLS has one. With such grainy photos it is near impossible to tell for certain.

True .... but the beauty of this forum is to predict what is not too clear ... educated guest, if you will ;)

I would say it would be UVLS

Precisely. And your words are indeed good reminder to those who forgot it and kept on pointless arguing, attack, etc... ...
