J-10s and J-8Bs for the carrier? The J-10 will collpase on its intake on landing, and the J-8B, with its small wings? How will it do on take off?
But is it possible to place the stoppers (Well, the flap that stops the plane from flying off before getting full power on take off, as I think most people on this forum don't know about it.) farther back for more payload, reliability and speed?
As for AShM, it's a Chinese plane we are talking about, so it should be able to carry the C-80X instead. It was designed for planes anyway and is less than a ton.

lol, you probably noticed that I didn't bother doing any translations, because it's basically just rehashing the history of varyag, su-27 naval varient and all that other stuff again. Then it talks about the pictures that we have all seen. Seriously, our own analysis is not any worse than his, right? This begs a question. If anyone here lives near that shipyard, you can definitely see some progress or ongoing work. Is there still activity on this ship at all these days? I would like to see any updates on a month to month basis. Last series of pictures I saw about Varyag gave me indications that it was going into PLAN service rather than casino. That still doesn't mean it couldn't be used as a museum of sorts. But I have my doubts about that.

I believe I posted a similar question some time ago. It has long(about 3 years) puzzled me why there are not more pics of the Varyag. It is a CV after all. You just can't moor it some where and hope no one sees it. Is security that tight in the PRC??????
We want some more UP TO DATE PICS!!!!! Once a month would be great. Then we could give our best guess about the status of the ship. Once again we can dream can't we?????

I don't think it's an issue of the security around the shipyard. Trust me, China is not police state that many people think it is. However, it's the issue of putting it up online. You can bet that PLAN is monitoring the stuff that get posted on the Chinese military forums. They would not let people see anything that they really don't want the rest of the world to see. After a while, the forum webmasters don't want to get in trouble, so they will just remove any images they think is too revealing. Let's put it this way, some of these forum webmasters are like insiders to pla. In order to maintain their status, they have to listen to not get on the wrong side of pla. And when it comes to the bottom line, all the new pictures come from Chinese forums. So, if they are not allowed to post stuff, then we are not going to see any new pictures either. What the hell is the big deal anyway? Has the PLAN discovered a new way to re-fit an CV or something?? Nope. I do not get it at all. What are they hiding? Nothing. The US knows how to build a CV. Knows how to operate them. And knows that it will take the PLAN 3-7 years to get the ship fully operational. So what's the big deal?????????
