Yes that was PNS Shamsheer no 252 that joined the PLAN ship
It is very good to see both navy with such close co-operation and because they use similar platform this makes integration of the fleets much easier
I hope one day we see a Chinese ask force visiting also

Hi guys, I'm new of the forum and this is my first post.
I saw an interesting picture of DDG 113 Qingdao entering in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, posted by Escobar the 7 May 2012 (page 51 of this Thread).
There is a strange diamond-shaped device just aft the HQ-7 missile launcher.
Any idea of what is it ? It has some similarities to the American LRAD acoustic device and I would like to know its name and its manufacturer.

No idea, but if you check Alibaba.com, you could actually find a few Chinese manufacturer made LRAD as well.

Odd place to put the signalling light, and the mountings all suggest it's something else.

There was a article in this months Warship magazine on PLAN and it's piracy missions and also it's recent visit to Black Sea, there is now a Chinese Navy article in nearly every months or second months magazine and it's getting very interesting
It said the replenishment tanker stayed in Turkey while the Type 054A visited the ports in the black sea while the DDG went straight to Ukraine and all 3 ships stopped over in Haifa Israel
Also Turkey gave permission to the Chinese ships to enter Black Sea and it was good for relations of both country's and Type 054A got a great reception and run through so many miles at sea crossing Suez ect etc
