So when did China get their hands on Star Wars binoculars. Who makes them?

BTW, anyone having trouble with imageshack? I haven't been able to upload any images of late.

Wow those binoculars look cool. A shame they'll probably only be distributed among elite groups.

And I've had no trouble with imageshack (well, the last pic i uploaded was yesterday so yeah).

If that's a warning symbol in the middle, it probably has a laser rangefinder to the least.

I never thought it made that much sense to send something like the Sov out there. If they did it, it would have just been to show it off. 054/As are the most ideal ships for this in PLAN.
The whole mission is to show off the PLAN and get open ocean operating experience. Fighting piracy is a secondary mission. Now if the PLAN were to go ashore with special forces and marines and engage pirates in combat, then I would be impressed.

Yes those binoculars have a laser rangefinder and I would imagine night vision, possibly a big unified display that you look through rather than two eyepieces. Huge magnification. All around a pretty sweet piece of kit.

Also good job to the PLAN for a successful interception.

Is that a...copy of the M82? Or am I just looking at the muzzle piece again.

That's the M06, developed from the M99, use 12,7x108 munition. Not as accurate as the contemporary Western counterparts but can't be helped because China has little experience in producing high-grade sniper rifle and the munition of the grade.

But what bothers me is that M06 use the rail mount on the left side to mount scopes, there's no mount on the top to mount scope.

I'm pretty sure thats just the regular M99
