If someone steals ideas, he shows his appreciation. In addition, copying is a very resource-saving way of development. To say China copy of Russia or the United States, does not mean that China would not have expected to lift such a development itself.

some members here seem to always go by this line "if you don't show me what you have, it must mean you have nothing", but seriously, China is not obliged or interested to show anyone anything, neither does China care what others think, China's capability is ONLY Chinese concern.
In a sense the old "turtle and rabbit race" is a good reference for us all. I would stretch the story a bit, rabbit can assume the turtle is behind him when he can't see the turtle after running ahead in the beginning, but that assumption is not always reliable.
