So 001A at Dalian is a Liaoning variant and 002 will be built at JNCX and will be CATOBAR steam throughout yeah that makes sense

Would China prioritise carrier of LHD yeah I also think so the carrier is deemed much more important

I would guess 2 x STOBAR and 2 x CATOBAR in near future

That would be 24 x J15 on STOBAR and 36 x J15 on CATOBAR

Total aircraft 120 for aviation

When the time comes PLAN should deploy a carrier 24/7 365 on rotation in 3-6 month deployments they could easily manage that when they have 4 carriers

Six would be better. Because each of those four ships will need a re-fit every 3-5 years. That could leave the PLAN short for possible contingency needs.There for one and sometimes two will be in a shipyard..but any scenario like this would be way into the future..perhaps past 2030...

China is working on nuclear-powered and Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System right now, but obviously not ready for project 002 yet. Maybe we will see them on 003 which is 5th and 6th PLAN carrier.

Like fzgfzy telling people who ask him about 003, that's way too far in the future to talk about when 002 construction is not even started yet. But seems like everybody is pretty sure PLAN will have more than just four carriers in the future.

If you notice he "leak" out information on only navy equipments. He is a navy forum moderator over there and like lcloo mentioned before he supposedly also a writer for a military magazine about ships in China.

Well, the information are still crazy detailed for being non-classified and about such an important part of the Chinese Navy.

It's not beyond what you'd expect out of a typical insider.

I understand why some people are skeptical about the information regarding 002 from fzgfzy and still not convinced of 001A yet, as I'm not 100% certain they are in fact real or make up at this point myself. But I like to give him a benefit of a doubt and more credibility than the average forum poster because of his position as the navy forum moderator in CJDBY.

We don't have to wait for long anyway, it's not like his prediction is 10 years from now. It will all be clear in just another year (or even shorter time)to know at least on the 001A and 055 part if he is giving out accurate information or not. Mean while, just taken these information as interesting gossip at this point and then compare them in the next few years and see how it goes.

Didn't see the military Enthusiast's version of the carrier promotional video until I saw it today from Dingsheng forum (交叉双旋翼). I think it's emotionally more touching than the official version because of the history in this clip. I hope you guys like it too.

At 0:14 it seems the bridge is on the wrong side compared to the Liaoning, not sure if intentional or not.
