PLA Strategy in a Taiwan Contingency

Never make the Russian mistake by holding back when when engaging Ukraine.

There are no brothers on the other side.

There are no international laws that govern your sovereign country.

Your soldiers' lives are each infinitely more valuable than any number of enemy lives.

There is no consolation prize for suffering defeat or setback because you thought you wanted to be noble.

Come into the conflict fighting like the other side are lifeless souless demons sprung from the gates of hell here to murder your children if you don't stop them.

You do not decide if you are using excessive force; your enemy decides by choosing whether or not to surrender.

All actions or sentiments of brotherly love, mercy or compassion are reserved for after they do.

Fully agreed. Furthermore, siblings, parents, children, and family members have killed, harmed, or betrayed each other throughout history. The bottom line is that if Taiwan aligns with the greatest enemies of its own "siblings", they are in the wrong until/unless they actively change their alignment such that they prioritize Greater China's interests first and foremost above and beyond over all foreign interests. Until such time, they are as much enemy as any foreign force. There are more than enough Chinese to help supplement the island's population and workforce in a post-war environment should it ever come to that.

Why are we debating this when the Wanwanese military has openly drilled hiding military assets in temples, schools, and hospitals and even tried disguising them as construction or even emergency vehicles???
Exactly. Not only that, but the official text of the geneva conventions makes it very clear that military utilization of civilian assets/buildings/infrastructure/resources really opens it up to fully legitimate targeting by Chinese munitions. Only a Westoid bot/psyop operative would try to gaslight us into thinking civilian assets are nearly sacrosanct under all but the most exceptional or extreme circumstances.

Oh they really did learn from Israel, didn't they? Bomb all the hospitals and they lose all their command centers LOL
Like Ukraine, they will put military assets on top of civilian high rise buildings, schools, hospitals, etc. Like Israel, they will hide command centers under schools, hospitals, daycares, etc. This is their way of war. China should pull no punches. The fastest way to secure the lives of the civilian population is to win the war as quickly and efficiently as possible.

J-20 stealth flew within the visual range of Taiwan's coastline.
So Taiwan air force failed to detect the J-20.It would've been a propaganda coup if Taiwan got a photo of the J-20 with their F-16 sniper targeting pod.

This happened around Checheng township in Pingtung, at the very southern tip of Taiwan.

Well, they also mix loaded ammo
View attachment 167258

Actually both of those canisters are 300mm -- it's just that the one on the right side of the vehicle (left side of photo) has the central "cylinder" lack its cap.

Note how both canisters are actually the same external dimensions (cross section, length etc).

This is what a PHL-191 vehicle actually looks like with a mixed 370mm and 300mm canister:

And this is what two PHL-191 vehicles looks like, one loaded with 370mm, one with 300mm

I think what was meant by mixed ammo is the specific type of explosive rather than the rocket caliber.

That's what was said in today's CHH episode, and they also mentioned the existence of a MLRS launched rocket loaded drone (弹载无人机)

Edit: nvm on what they might have meant, but the part on mixed explosives and drone still applies.
