You cannot occupy Taiwan without landing, without getting the President of Taiwan to sign a surrender, which is meaningless. Also, the landing will take place only after Taiwan's ability to counterattack has been crushed.

What is consideration? Russia's incompetence in Ukraine isn't out of consideration, it's because they aren't capable of bringing down Kiev. If they had consideration, they wouldn't have massacred Bucha.

So you are telling me the Russians massacred the people who accepted their food rations and were wearing the Russian white armband they handed out signaling they weren't enemy combatants? Right...

CCP did not have to get Chiang Kai Shek to sign a surrender in 1949 to take the mainland and establish the people’s republic. They even put his name on a list of wanted war criminals. Why would CCP have to need cooperation from the secessionist regime now to take Taiwan?

How can officially surrendering the enemy be "cooperation"? Of course they will flee like Chiang Kai-shek, but for CCP it is best to surrender them.

They could have carpet bombed Ukraine from the very start. Nobody is considered a civilian until the country surrenders. Right now they can turn Kiev into dust with surface to surface missiles with the casualties in the millions. And what if they used nukes? Who would dare nuke Russia back, after they've used 5-10 warheads of their >1,000 stockpile? Please, Russia isn't fighting; it's sparring with a jackass kid and his 30+ little punk friends.
