What range has? And what is the effective range? Can go trought body armour? Does need a heavy equipment to carry? This kind of questions must be answered when make a weapond. Cost per unit , time of use are another. Every material give something else so you must get a compromise between them

He is talking about a dazzler or blinder, It's mostly a super charged laser pointer meant to annoy the victim and perhaps temporarily or permanently blind them. It effects the Eyes Although there are some lens technologies being developed to counter it. Any lethal laser at this point requires a truck or a ship to transport it.
I understand. Well that is why those questions i said are important. Among those may be also: rate of fire, percent of interception , radius of blast divided by weight , time of burn of fuel , cross concepts , multiple roled aded divided by cost , time of making a weapon in case war is close
All those put in a tabel or graph in wich best compromise is taken.
Also making weapons trought physics laws make 2 ways : classic improvement of weapons and new concepts (cross between concepts also)

Stryker fired systems tend to have a lower angle of bore vs conventional hammer fired weapons. meaning that the weapon sits lower in the hand and can have a lower line otherwise They seem to be just as reliable some cheap strikers though have a habit of accidental discharge from impact.
