It's practical if these "models" are engineers who can explain the intricacies of these systems to potential buyers but otherwise they could use models who look more like grunts. Can you imagine these guys grunting?

No... They looked too dorky. Got all them fancy gears and they put a guy in there who looks more at home inside a library than in a defence trade show..

Those are actually two different guys but they both look dorky. You can tell they don't have regular exercise activities.
i suspect that they just got a couple of their employees to stand in, but they could have made a better impression by going through the troubles of actually finding a model or two.

I really don't care who is wearing the system for all i care it could be a super model or Schwarzenegger or some guy off the street what matters in this context is the system and where is seems to be going. What is there End Goal?
we have parts, We have a helmet mounted display, we have the start of advanced optics, we have possible communications headsets we might have a tablet computer. we have the start of a powered exoskeleton. so what is there end goal? and how far are they form that?
is this there end goal?

If you're looking at a COD:AW kind of exo-suit with all them advanced wearable kits, at best it's still decades away because the power source is still a major issue to solve before we can get there.

Well for short duration ops, it might be doable now. and my bet is by 2025 it will be ready to go tech with advances in Lithium ion batteries and a smart design. but thats not my point right now. infact I was commenting on the debate about the nerdiness of the demo guys.
anyway my point is the Export version of their digital system/ the Police version can be seen as a base line. we can then compare it to similar systems from other nations and try and gauge where they stand and what they are doing and aiming for a PLA issued unit. the concept art is just to show a possible aim. strip away the exoskeleton and that concept soldier is pretty close to what we see in the photos of post 441.
Now where does that leave us in terms of what they may be trying to field now? well based on the visible changes and the key features I think the PLA right now is aiming to for feature set similar to Singapore's ACMS lite. Why? because it has a lot of the same features. Where the Japanese ACES and French Feilin have complex optics ACMS uses a off the shelf reflex sight with a camera if we look at the CS/LN1 we see a sight far to small to be a thermal/Nod sight but that seems like it might have the camera, we see on almost all these set ups a helmet mounted display and head set but both CS/LN1 and the ACMS lack a big set of optics. they both now include a modern plate carrier style and seem to have chest mounted tablets. we can guess that the CS/LN1 has the Chinese GPS system, it's possible that if they are using a similar mind set then the next steps would be active noise dampening for the wearer in the form of ear plugs and possibly down the line a small weapon mounted interface.

What is that on the Type 95 rifle and squad light machine gun over their muzzle-breaks? Some kind of suppressor?

I would assume they are firing life rounds given that the muzzles of the Indian soldiers looks normal.

EDIT: Now looking at closely the Indian soldiers have them too, just a different kind. So they not firing life rounds?

no its the blank firing attachment. Blanks cant cycle a automatic or semiautomatic weapon designed for use of conventional bullets they need a modified barrel with a smaller diameter to produce the proper gas pressure. They get that in movies by replacing the barrel. In real life military service well using laser combat simulation gear they use a BFA.

I remember a few other pictures where brass catchers were used in simulation. Given the dry grass it might be there in a attempt to prevent a hot spent case from igniting the dry grass and starting a brush fire. Or it might be so that they can recycle the brass or so they don't have to send someone out to collect it later.
