I've heard that-no names!-a nuclear powered submarine of the Late Qing class SSN of the PLAN built by the CAC-Chengdu Aircraft Corporation had run aground in the Heilongjiang River /Ussuri on Zhenpao island where upon discovering that the pork dumplings were actually 2 grams lighter then naval regulations the crew mutinied and killed the captain and XO -and then drained the nuclear torpedoes and cruise missiles to have an enormous hotpot meal-the crew shot and harvested musk ox and commandered a passing Thai freighter of all its sticky rice and rice noodles-broiled eels -as we speak they've threatened to launch all the YJ-99 missiles at Tokyo and Seoul unless culinary demands were met.
How much of the 1.6 billion USD do I get for this ridiculous story??

on Twitter (who really isn't a PLA watcher) actually noted something that is actually worthy of more attention - Namely, the absolute rate of Wuchang's expansion and buildup within a span of less than one month:

To put it simply - All those circled and shaded in red in the July 5th photo are merely flat dirt ground less than one month ago. Plus, further expansions of facilities at Wuchang are very likely to be still ongoing at that time (July 5), given the construction sites to the right of the photo.

And if anything, it does look like whatever's happening at that pier to the bottom has very little if no effect at all on the overall work of the shipyard itself.

Huludao isn't the only one gearing up for pumping underwater black sausages...
Hang on a minute, that top picture is no way 2024. The new shed attached to the existing shed at the right side has been there since at least last year.

QINGDAO, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- A batch of Chinese naval ships were open to public tours on Tuesday in the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong Province, as the country celebrates the 75th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

The open days will continue until Thursday. This is the first time Chinese naval ships have been open to the public on a large scale during the National Day holiday, according to the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy.

The ships on display are all active-duty vessels that were independently designed and built in China.

By 4 p.m. Tuesday, over 40,000 people had visited the ships. More than 120,000 visitors are expected during the three days.

The PLA Navy is also hosting similar open days in south China's Guangdong Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region during the National Day holiday.
