A shot of the Jiangnan and Hudong facilities on Changxing island, taken in early July. Pardon the large image dimensions.

I found the following images which show a submarine in port earlier this year, but in June the sub disappears and what look like salvage cranes appear. Anyone know what might have happened here? Based on the location, I think this might be near the site where the launch ceremony for Hangor was.

Admiral Hu Zhongming, commander of PLAN, visited Thailand from August 1st to 3rd. He toured Thai Navy's submarine warfare training center and Sattahip submarine base, both of which are built with assistance from China.

Uh, will RTN be getting an actual submarine from China to put in that submarine base though?

As of yesterday late night, the former Minsk had been on fire for more than 6 hours.

Most likely she will go the way of USS Bon Homme Richard (i.e. scrapped) after this.

Also, this isn't the first time the former Minsk has been on fire (the first was in November 1999 when being converted into a floating museum at Guangzhou):

Update: Footage from early this morning. The fire has been put out, but the fire damage looks to be rather severe.
