interesting to see how China has now normalized these massive operations around Taiwan. You get a couple of articles like this saying they are training and getting themselves ready, but that's it.

They are already desensitized to it since it happens so frequently. I think PLAGF could potentially hold very large amphibious assault exercises as well. After a while people will be desensitized to it too.

I'm a poor diplomat. Cus I'd send this article to Pelosi every day after the drills to remind her that her words are like farts and this is what she did for the ROC.
It was never about Taiwan for Pelosi, it was about her personal legacy. Taiwan was and still just is a prop.
I lol'd when I thought of people becoming desensitized to Chinese amphibious exercises off Taiwan. Imagine if the PLA conducted such exercises, gradually scaling them up in size and realism, and then one day: Surprise-M*therfucker.gif.
I'm pretty damn sure that is the plan. Normalize large scale incursions and then conduct a surprise attack.
If all these plane fly at the same time, it's quite easy to slip 10 J-20 in the bunch...

Well most folks just assumed the large troop formation from Belarus south to Crimea were just there for an 'exercise' in 2021.
