Pan and Chalmers are both part of their respective national teams for the men's 4x100m Medley Relay, so their competition in Paris is not quite over yet.
This is exactly why trying to appease to westerns is a waste of time. They try to bully you but this is how they act when you win over them. They act all nice and stuff suddenly coz you are bigger than them.

So really the only way to get them to respect you is to win. Then they can't say crap all of a sudden.

Theres really two more chances. Mixed relay and Men's relay. Im not betting on gold but I hope China can prove me wrong and make the west mald for a second/third time.

Vivian Kong's master's thesis said that China's electoral reforms in Hong Kong to weed out oppositions put the territory on the right path. You guys think she's an actual Patriot or did she write that to please the university in china she was attending?

She wasn't in China studying engineering but in a law and policy related field. She would of known that you have to be a patriot in that field of study during Xi's era. I believed she spoked out against the rioters when it was not the safe thing to do. She also mention that she wanted to represent China in the UN to fight back the unfair criticism against China.

There are some very well spoken (english), good presenting, and sassy patriotic Hong Kongers. It is something China should be using in the soft-power messaging department that could help relate to the western or at least asian-vassal audience (you know, the people your propaganda want to target)

As an addendum, there are patriotic people everywhere, even Hong Kong. It's just that usually these people are busy - advancing their careers, gaining new skills, etc. and are not particularly interested in acting like a buffoon for a reporter.

For example, the Hong Kong government has government-funded high-quality courses on recreational activities like sailing, table-tennis, martial arts, etc. at unbelievably low prices. Sailing is ~$9 USD for a 2 day, 8 hours ea. course. So if you're a productive, growth-minded person you're not likely to be rioting in the streets or acting like a clown for TV.

Hell yeah, Zheng won her gold! That Croat be losing her shit! She threw her racket and started screaming at people behind her... What is up with Chinese athletes always being way classier win or lose?

We lost the mixed doubles by 1 point in the tie-breaker yesterday but the US men's doubles also lost in the exact same fashion today so it cancels out. Zheng pulls us ahead. I wonder how that Emma locker-room-comraderie bitch is feeling right now LOL
