To be fair. She said it didn't affect then that much. She still got bronze when even the previous gold medalist didn't make it to the podium.
We know these guys can perform well as shown in the heats etc. The problem is they seem to underperform in the finals like Qin Haiyang.
Even just one gold at this point in swimming will give the middle finger to the west.
Imagine getting drug tested seven times a day. She was crying after the event. You really think she openly said how she felt?

I used to swim competitively and the amount of sleep I got before a meet had a major impact on my performance. The 5 AM drug test was an act of sabotage. There's no other way to look at it. The USOPC is a repugnant organization.
People are not pessimistic. Just concerned that Olympic comittee is a corrupt hot mess controlled by US and their slaves.
Back in high school, I swam in the same meet as Katie Ledecky several times. She's a nice person and in my experience, so are many of the top American swimmers. Non-Americans might not know this, but almost every Chinese-American kid participates in swimming. I was one of those kids. In my experience, American swimmers usually aren't racist because most of them had Chinese-American teammates at some point. On the other hand, the people in charge of Team USA are older, racist scumbags and they will stop at nothing to win, especially against the Chinese.
Notice how these drug tests are done against China’s gold medal favourites on the day of the final. This was their plan all along to disrupt the Chinese swimmers to stop them winning gold medals. Chinese Olympic team should complain to the authorities and go to the media. Should not just accept blatant sabotage. Mentally they are rattled by all these things which is why they have underperformed so far.
Don’t forget all the disgusting accusations against young Ye Shiwen in 2012 Olympics. Then sabotaged Sun Yang’s career. They are scared of China’s rise is swimming. Just like they are scared of China’s rise in AI.

They said during an interview that the pool water was cold. I'm not sure I remember correctly but I think they said it was only 23 degrees or something when it's supposed to be maintained at 26-27 Celsius. I wouldn't be shocked if it was collusion between the French and Americans to drop the temp and have their athletes train in colder temps. If the 26-27 degrees is a regulation temperature, it should have been confirmed pre-comp and ensured before the start.
When do swimmers usually wake? As far as I know, athletes like to sleep 10pm-6am or something like that and this was an evening event so wouldn't they have time to catch up on sleep? There should be regulation hours as to when drug testing may occur; they can be tested pre-sleep and the doors sealed to ensure no one else enters but if they were sabotaged, I would send Chinese people to knock on the doors of the US team as well just to make sure they all have that early wake-up call.
