The fact that some of us are upset about China "only" winning 40 gold medals is a testament to China's strength. The future is bright!
I mean you're already so close to victory, you might as well seal the deal right?

That's why silver can be really painful sometimes.

Btw I'm seeing the USA isn't exactly having it easy against France right now in women's basketball. Shall we all pray one more time for a miracle?

China’s rise in swimming will be a game changer. Double effect where China’s gold directly take away gold from the US. That’s why the US is pissed. Athletics is not as guaranteed for the US because many countries have gold medal contenders. In swimming it’s only Australia that can challenge the US.

The USA have all the pressure. The score is 25-25 at half-time when they should have been dominating. They know the USA volleyball team, the defending champions, were thrashed by Italy a few hours ago. They know they have to win to tie golds with China.

France have nothing really to lose. They have the entire French nation behind them.
