Some random thoughts on 2024 Paris Olympics.

Looking at the above table and it is dawned on me that Australia's quality of living and economic well-being is ahead of the rest in the west outside US. I visited Australia twice. It feels clean and nice. With unlimited natural resources and inside RCEP, it really enjoys the best of both worlds. IIRC it is said that Australia has not encountered an economic crisis for over 29 years. The number one contributor to Australia's economic prosperity is China in the last 3 decades. Rocks, literally ...

If there is any illusion as why US wants to contain China, the above table illustrates the reason(s) figuratively. It is not idealogical; it is not personal. It is all about money.

Russia should have been right up there if allowed in this Olympics. Again this table illustrates the Russian conundrum: it wants to join the west; the west dislikes it. Russia is forced to ally with China ...

The WADA vs USADA saga is yet another living example that there are only 3 real independent countries in the world: US, China, Russia.

The man-punches-woman saga reals the state of political correctness in the west, while UK is in chaos.

I still vividly remember the nation-wide enthusiasm during 1984 LA Olympics and 1988 Soul Olympics. It is surreal staring at the above table ......
Australia has a Soviet totalitarian Minister of Sport and state institutes of sport that sponsor athletes from a young age and subject them to rigorous training specifically to bring glory to Imperium Anglica Australia.

US still have a lot of events to harvest gold. If China cannot top the table now then we will need to wait at least 8 years or even 12 years more because the next two olympic will be in the US and its vassal state (Australia). US already scored 1-0 in women footbal and likely to get another gold soon.

I am watching the gold medal women's football USA v Brazil and I have to say that the refereeing leaves a lot to be desired. Brazil scored a goal but had it disallowed for offside. The USA just scored a goal and it looked offside too, even the commentator thought it was offside but the goal was allowed so now the USA lead 1-0. With the dubious referee decisions in the women's hockey China vs NED too, that's a talking point, whether referees are biased or not.

Au contraire, in the US, if China does not beat the US in golds, then that is to be expected and nobody will be too sad, but if China manage to pull it off, imagine the sweet sweet victory it will be and the butts hurt all round.

There are always things outside the rule and it seems that for the competition of breakdancer the Australian participant had no clear idea what the competition was about

Xd!

I must say very very unlikely because the host can actually choose sport that have advantage for them. Imagine they have american football, baseball, squash, or another dozen variations of running then the Chinese have no way to compete.

Given the amount of evildoing WADA has exposed, it's definitely possible US bribed the referees
