US choked in men's 4x100m. Interestingly China was the only team that did not finish ahead of the US, despite four perfect hand offs. Even Japan beat the US.
Last time had both Su Bingtian and Xie Zhenye. Now China has only an older Xie Zhenye and three new guys. Last time was placing too much expectation so wonder the new team couldn't accomplish it. Deep down I'm disappointed but realistically I should have known better since Su is an anomaly. Someone like Xie was always just second best.

What China need is a continuous program to produce young sprinters regularly with strong potential.

Neeraj is a phenomenal athlete, but Arshad's 92.97 m throw was simply out of this world. He beat the previous Olympic record by 2.4 m...

This gold medal will inspire a generation of athletes in Pakistan.
I actually wanted to see more of Neeraj after that 89m throw but the guy got like 5 no-throws. He went in with unnecessary pomp.

Arshad's last throw was also 90+, at 91.79m. That's the second longest in Olympics history. Set two records in one match.

I don't follow these sports much but, for reference, a football field is 110m. I can't imagine anybody throwing anything almost the length of a football field. Imagine in the middle ages you go to duel your nemesis with your sword out and he just throws a javelin from a football field away and ends your life.

Wow, China is looking incredibly strong in women's hockey finals
I wouldn't be surprised if they won against the "heavy favourites". Incredible attacking
Literally the entire stadium filled with Dutch lol

In addition to 4x100m men's, US also lost potential golds in wrestling (Spencer Lee and Kyle Dake) and women's shot put
Medal race getting closer

Japan is really taking over wrestling this time. It was supposed to be easier for USA since no Russians but I guess they didn't know their vassal state would upset them.

There are two notable sports that Japan made strides this time: fencing and wrestling, but I found out they already had a vision for a long time. I believe they will try to make these the equivalent of China's table tennis and diving, but for Japan.

Japan was always good at wrestling. Their female wrestlers have dominated. Male wrestlers have also gotten golds frequently. It's just this time they got more thanks to no Russians and Americans being overhyped frauds at the moment.

671 has made it to the semifinals for women's breaking for China. Should be all over in an hour or so.

EDIT: She lost the semifinal, will compete for Bronze.
EDIT2: Bronze for 671!

They already have a couple of youngsters capable of running around 10.06s. Just not sure why they did not send them.
