Chang Yani is rank 11 out of 12 after 2 dives
She is so inconsistent I wonder why they even sent her

Extremely dangerous if Chen Yiwen screws up even one dive, and given this is 3m springboard anything can happen

Is she new/inexperienced and sent to gain XP? Or does China lack depth in the women's 3m relative to the other individual diving events? She also didn't finish top 3 in the semifinals.

Not only that, she choked the same way at the latest 3 competitions before olympic if I remmember correctly, maybe the coach just put too much hope on her.

At least she made up some lost ground and got a bronze. The gold medal winner absolutely dominated! She got the highest scores every single round and was ahead of the silver medalist by a mile!
