If the theories in the RedEffect video are indeed correct, it would mean that NK has pretty much closed the tank tech gap with SK. This is only speculation on my part at this point, but if we assume the same was done for the other new systems showcased by NK, and with the numbers they're expected to be produced at, it would mean SK has lost a significant part of whatever advantage it held at ground warfare.

Probably even better than the South Korean K2 or at the least caught up fully

It 125mm APFSDS looks a lot more powerful than South Korean K279 and it can shoot ATGMs with 1200mm of penetration.

Even if it's worse, the difference in performance is small enough so that it wouldn't matter on a strategic scale. At that point it just becomes a numbers' game, and that's where NK completely outclasses SK.

That will depend a lot on how many they build in total; They have vastly more total tanks than SK but most of them are older Chonma-Ho. SK currently has over 2,000 more modern K1A1s/K2s and North Korea will probably need at least a decade to catch up with that number.

South Korea has one huge issue tho…
They have the lowest fertility rate in the world
0.88 is horrendous

Every woman needs to have 2 children at least in her lifetime to replace herself and her husband in order for a country to maintain its population. Extra 0.1 fertility rate is also added to compensate for early deaths caused by decease, crime or accidents. In order for a country to maintain its population, it needs fertility rate of at least 2.1. Currently it’s only 0.88…

if this continues at 0.88 for the next 50-60 years, South Korean population will plummet by up to 60%. From 51.7 million to 21 million

IMG_2903.jpeg
In 1985 the average age in S. Korea was 23
Its 2024 now and its already an avg. age of 45

At current trend, S. Korea will go from 51.7 million to 45 million by 2050 with an average age of 57-58

Do you know how detrimental to the economy that would be when the average person is a pensioner and only few born minorities age groups are working and paying tax?
You end up with
- Lack of manpower for jobs and military
- Social welfare collapse including pensions
- Less productive population due to high avg age
- Brain Drain

Then there is the age demographic issue

IMG_2904.png

South Korea with 51.74 million population
~400,000 of 40 year olds
~210,000 of 18 year olds
~210,000 of 19 year olds
~210,000 of 20 year olds
~120,000 of 1 year olds
Halving with each generation…

:::

Now let’s look at Israel
IMG_2905.png

Israel 9.31 million population
~58,000 of 40 year olds
~70,000 of 20 year olds
~72,000 of 19 year olds
~72,000 of 18 year olds
~90,000 of 1 year olds

S. Korea only has 2.9x more 18-20 year olds
S. Korea only has 1.33x more 1 year olds
Than Israel…
Despite the fact that S. Korea has 7x the population of Israel…

Soon an age group will be born in South Korea where there’s less off them than in Israel, despite the 7x population difference.

That’s the crises South Korea faces today.
At this rate, N. Korea will able to just come in and roll them over.

Doesn't he think that converting strategic cruise missile frigates into conventional frigates is very wasteful from the perspective of the North Korean Navy?
