this is a picture of J-10 with a lot of PL-8. I wonder what types of seekers are on the latest PL-8.

What's with the clipped wings on those pl-8s? Pretty much all the pics ive seen so far showed a full, nonclipped wing. Also, the blue/white paint scheme is new to me. Can anyone tell if they're live missiles or training ones?

Compare with tail fins of Python-3. I think they look the same. I don't see forward fins however.

They are dogfight training missiles. Non functional, but they have a camera on the nose, perhaps to lock on to a target and take a picture of the "kill".

I was looking carefully at the serial number, it looks like either 50250 or 50850.

I don't think they are captive training missiles. They have all fins and look the same as the ones below but with caps on the head. The ones that you posted few posts ago don't have forward fins so can't be functional .

you know, there are live-fire training missiles. They just replace the warhead with something else. And in this case, the nose on the training missile looks like the one in the picture.

I thought you were comparing these white ones with the picture of CATMs. What you are pointing to, looks like a cover on the head to protect the IR seeker. It's not a different nose if i am correct.
Something similar on Aim-9

However the 4 missiles below those two white missiles have a more opaque/inert nose which seems to be in conformity with what you said.
