That's not a DSI ... it's a very old picture of a very early model of the later J-10 and it shows an intake design similar to the French Mirage-series with a moveable centre-cone !

Later on it was changed to a F-16/Lavi-style intake and after the AL-31FN was choosen once more to the now well known design (which is more related in design to the Su-27's design!)

某国某新型自产战斗机与苏27sk之秘密对抗演习之问题---5 朕继续胡说【皇上】
重新开始地对抗演习


上午,新型号两个双机编队梯队,编队间间隔30公里,编队长僚机间隔5公里,编队前后间隔5公里。
高度100米以下,,27编队情况大致相当


新型西编队,僚机,电子战系统截获一个持续6秒的雷达信号,并确定方向在山麓与丘陵边缘地带,判断为沿山区边界超低空飞行地27。,该信号随即消失,新型西编队长机急速爬升至500米,随后俯冲至50米,迅速折向山区,僚机保持超低空,折向长机方位。数秒后,传感器截获一个丘陵升起的信号,距离约40,僚机保持50米高度穿谷,完成射击程序仰射。指挥部判定该信号被击落,乃是27编队长机,当时紧贴丘陵作cap飞行,企图截击跃升新型机


新型双机东编队僚机座舱掉电,紧急接通后,态势显示没有恢复,其他系统正常,请示后指挥部,同意继续。该机启动雷达做间歇搜索,未果。被另一27编队僚机截获雷达信号,确定大致方向。

27僚机经验丰富,根据信号方位和地形,判断该机可能会在河道紧贴河面转弯,降低高度,在附近待机。第三次截获新型机雷达信号后,大致确定了其方位,采取传感器搜索,在27公里距离上发现目标正在转弯,于是从其侧后攻击,结果判断为该新型机被击落。

随后,双方没有再获战果



此间,新型方地面雷达截获27信号仅10次,平均6个点
27方地面雷达截获新型方13次,平均9个点


27即在雷达截获新型方1次,其他系统截获16次
新型方记载雷达截获27方4次,其他系统截获11次

:confused: that report is very intresting,J10 vs Su27,finaly J10 was lost,there are so many saying around the people.I heard a news not longer ago,exatly is opposite,saying J10 defeated Su27 for many times.I don't believe these news,unlike USA,chinese airforce never let you know the true military message.in fact,J10 and Su27 are both same level aircombat,but they are two deffint type of fighters,theJ10 is singale engine light combat,Su27 is a double engine longdistance combat,they are both have exallent aircombat performence,you are hard to compare them which is better.china insist to make research J10 for so many years and pay for lot of money and manpower,the purpose is for develop chinese own military techical,china undersdand that a stong military power country must could make most advence militaryweapon,not buy from the other countrys.now china stop to make Su27,I think the reason is J10 aleardy commissioned,to make J10,chinese may save more money than make Su27,and J10 will be transfrom to J10b,J13.I ageet that china may deploy some military testing and training,that may had Su27 vs J10,but no one can know wich one shall win.

Yeah, that report is posted by someone with no credibility on a Chinese forum. For some reason, the news spread, but it's quite clear that China would never report something this indepth in public. But I don't really think there is any harm posting it and saying it is a rumour. Occassionally, the rumours do turn out to be true.

First I thanks for your explanation,but I must insist that we discuss the J10,in the same time,we could discuss something that has connection to J10 thread,people talk about J10 but also concern the developing after the J10,like J10B,J13,WS10,WS13 OR MORE.
I disgreet that your opinion about the jet engine,unlike Honda
car engine,china deploy research Ws10 engine since 1986,china put huge resources to do this,that power to be Honda car,it can not compare,
I think there was some other problems,some problems already heard by chinese sources.
we may see the other technology from china,such as space technology,missile,espeacilly ballist missile,so maney things china is in the advence area,I agreed that there are still many things to let china go slowlly at make weapon engines, some reason you already mentioned,but you never talk about why japan can not make advence jet engines,even regular travel airplane technology,japan still lost in the world.
look at USA,it make car engines are veary bad,but it can make most advence militaryweapon in the world,same as russia,the military technologe is in the second level of USA,and FRANCE too-it's cars are veary bad.
I take this to discuss,the purpose is deepth to research about how chinese making military needs engine.

So ... back from the summer holydays, :nana: ... and back to the topic !

I don't know if anyone noticed but in the latest issue of "Combat AIRCRAFT" is an article called "China's hidden power" about China's development of a suitable multirole aircraft which led to the J-10 !

... sadly - and typical for that magazine :mad: - the second part which finally covers the J-10 will be published in the next volume !
