Interesting to see strategypage type logic creeping into SDF. There are so many AESA systems out there for different platforms. How can it be narrowed down to something exclusively to one country?

Because AESA radars are only maid in America as I said for a million times. If you don't believe me go look it up.

I have looked it up and you're wrong. Many countries are developing AESA systems. So how is it exclusively American? What do you call everyone elses systems if they're not "AESA?"

Alright what kind of radar systems are from other countries other than the U.S. please name them? Until you have proven it otherwise I will not believe you.:coffee:

Yeh I looked it up too and there are no other counties that designed an AESA other than America so don't tell me some other country maid their own AESA.:nono: As I said there are 3 types of AESA, the APG-63 V1/2/3, APG-79 and the APG-81 all of them are American radars. I can repeat it again if you want me to?

There is the Sampson radar used on the Type 45 warships. And the first fighter AESA of all, which is on the Japanese F-2. The MiG-35 has a prototype AESA radar. AESA also appears in satellites as well.

Lets get this troll banned.

Europeans are developing AESA. Russians are going to install it on Mig-35s. China's supposedly developing one. But somehow AESA is the domain of the US and no one can have it but the US. You still haven't told me what you call everyone elses AESA? Is it just the name you're claiming? Unless you're actually saying no one else has the technical capability to make AESA. Which is freaking unbelievable to make such a charge.

First someone wants to argue that China has no AWACS... period! And now someone else is claiming AESA is somehow the monopoly of the US alone. LOL!!!!!!

SU-30, sounds to me that he likes to stir people up. So just ignore his posts, and get back to the J-10 thread. Last time something was mentioned about the PL-12 being armed on the J-10 was a while ago. With sources indicating it comparable and little bit better then the R-77, but what about the upgraded version of the PL-12 that China is working on is it comparable to the later AIM-120 versions???
Also production of J-10 has slowed down, possible due to the arrival of the WS-10A or further refinments to the airframe (composites being further added on)

the first lab.model was produced way back in 1965,since then US pour tremendous resource in R&D of AESA,able to mass produce T/R module ,since a lot of countries are jumping in the development of AESA,israel, india, russia,EU,australia, japan and China.
US are highly confidence even if other countries able to field there own airborne AESA,they will never match the sophistication of US radar system.
