nobody knows the order situation, but they will most likely continue to launch new models like Sea Lion 07 EV soon and that will also add orders. But in terms of shark, this is just a situation where they have to launch a competitive pickup in many of the global markets to capture those demand. Looking at the top sales models, many are pickups.

10 years ago, my mom bought a new car in Texas. Got home, the AC's not cold. Took it back to the dealer and dealer said it's normal. Went to another dealer and that dealer says it's totally not normal. She went back and said if it's normal, show me another car on your floor with an AC like that. Dealer says it's case-by-case. My mom asks for a refund and they say no, because it's used now. Mom went home, wrote them a scathing review. They responded publically in minutes, "We are dedicated to customer support. As we offered you in store, if you are not happy, you may return it at any time. But you did not want to. That offer still stands if you change your mind." My mom drove right back and returned it successfully.
Phenomenon seems unique to the US.
This one's in the US. Looks like they are actively canceling appointments or suppressing complaint. The cancelling appointments seems like a specific US problem.
Bearish for BYD.
They apparently appointed some old Fiat guy who is now trying to muscle in a bunch of outdated Italian suppliers into the BYD supply chain in Europe. Some of his more colorful quotes:
Italy has one of the lowest EV penetration rates and generally speaking everyone knows it is Germany which has the best automotive sector in Europe.
It's also puzzling to me how Italy supposedly has "know-how that has no equal on the international scene". Surely this is news to the Chinese? Pretty embarrassing that a fraudster like this guy is the "special advisor for Europe" for BYD. Shows how many Chinese companies are still pretty amateurish on overseas expansion.
Might explain why BYD's success rate in Europe has been so lackluster thus far. Hopefully they get their act together and hire someone who isn't interested in creating a jobs program for outdated and outmatched suppliers in his home country.

BYD is cautious on its expansion in Europe. If it competes too hard it could get banned or EU commission would suddenly find some random Chinese gov "subsidies" and put even more tariffs on it
