Norway is not that cold. Average daily low temperature in January is -4.7C in Oslo versus -6.9C in Beijing, -17.0C in Shenyang, and -22.4C in Harbin.

I think this year might be the tipping point where the majority of Chinese sees EVs as their future and then percentage will go up as auto and battery tech advances.

There is already a locked in class of drivers -- taxis and Didi -- that will attain nearly 100% transition to EVs in just a few years. Cost advantages per mile driven are too great.

Once everyone is off the fence and the mass affordable models like the BYD Sea Gull proliferate then the entire Chinese market will explode. We'll see 35, 40, 45M cars in rapid succession within the coming decade.

As I understand it，unlike domestic version，currently no Chinese EV oversea version have ADAS function available. Tesla already rolled out FSD in many countries，Chinese companies need to incorporate ADAS function in oversea version in order to compete with Tesla in the future.

According to this article，the Geely Atlas Russian version has no buildin network connection，nor does it have sim card slot，and no GNSS available


Apparently at the moment，most of Chinese EVs being sold oversea have it's "smart functions" trimmed.
