BYD sales in Brazil have remained stagnant since the April peak, despite several new models being launched every month, which should see sales rise.

The recent launches were really sales failures, especially the BYD King which fell a lot compared to the previous month.

Prices above consumer expectations and cars without ADAS and sunroofs in this category are actually hurting their announced sales projections.

And if they lower the price in the future they will have problems with devaluation, which damages the brand's image.

Without making the cars in Brazil proper their cars have high import duties. You will see things change after the Brazilian factory starts producing cars.

Why don't they offer cars with ADAS and sunroofs? They need to do more market research.

why do people think BYD is looking to increase sales that much in Brazil this year?

They have limited number of stores. All the sales recently are from cars already shipped before July.
