Does anyone know why the Wuling Mini EV is still dominating ev sales? Despite having terrible specs for its price like a 13kw toy engine and a tiny 2 door body

There are so many competitors that seem like much better products. Changan Benben E-star is the exact same price (30k rmb) and is much larger with 4 doors, and has a more powerful engine (55kw). Pocco duoduo is also a 4 door around the same price, with a more powerful engine (27kw) as well. Both are also marginally safer

Chery is also coming out with a Miniev copy (Chery Ice Cream) so the segment surprisingly must still be profitable.
It's not cute or customizable like the Wuling to turn it into Pikachu looking cars or whatever the mostly young Chinese turn their Wuling Evs into.

Would you believe that that for the same price, they doubled the battery capacity, increased the motor power and lengthened the wheelbase for more room.

Profitable in term of carbon credit.

Really? That would make it a much nicer vehicle. Only thing left is to strengthen the structure a bit so its not a death trap

Still it makes little sense that the non upgraded version sold 45000 units last month...

This video deserves to be placed in two threads. There are other locally branded IGBT fabs in China besides BYD Semiconductor. There are also plenty of foreign branded IGBT fabs in China but that's another story.

In other news, China's Farasis Energy has reportedly sent semi-solid-state battery with an energy density of 330Wh/Kg to Mercedes-Benz for evaluation.

For those who are wondering, fully solid-state battery probably won't enter mass production for the next 5 years.
