New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in China

@Tam Sir it may sound Grandeur But it's all a publicity gimmick, from the news "BYD will finish delivering a total of 18 units in 2022" Sir it's a joke, honestly 18 units what for:confused:? If IT'S an Electric Bus then I can take it seriously. :) Meralco being a monopoly should put up charging station around Metro Manila first! (they wouldn't cause it may effect their profit margin) Who in their right mind will buy a vehicle without a necessary infrastructure to support it. I like BYD and want to buy one But unfortunate for us local, ICE will still remain predominant for another 25 years.

With the pandemic, the gov't limited resource are use to stimulate the economy, this maybe one those proposal But the beneficiary are the rich and the middle class not the masses. If we can recover to pre covid then it is ideal But now it will take us 10 years just to reach the 2019 level of growth . The focus should be on Mass transit system, with rails as the centerpieces and BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) with BYD electric Buses.

Check out all the BYD buses, trucks and forklifts being sold around the world.

Does anyone know why the Wuling Mini EV is still dominating ev sales? Despite having terrible specs for its price like a 13kw toy engine and a tiny 2 door body

There are so many competitors that seem like much better products. Changan Benben E-star is the exact same price (30k rmb) and is much larger with 4 doors, and has a more powerful engine (55kw). Pocco duoduo is also a 4 door around the same price, with a more powerful engine (27kw) as well. Both are also marginally safer

Chery is also coming out with a Miniev copy (Chery Ice Cream) so the segment surprisingly must still be profitable.

I watched Nio Day. ET5 is a Model 3 challenger

Niu is NOT the same as Nio. Electric scooters.

Affordable for working class. Great for intraurban short trips for shopping, needs little parking space.

Nio has performed like what 50,000 successful battery swaps already? Leads the world in commercial deployment of this technology.

Nio to be in 25 countries by 2025, including apparently USA. I think right now USA is looking to ban BYD, let's see if Nio gets in the crosshairs.

What I like about Nio is the Nio Lifestyle House, a place for Nio owners to gather and relax. Just a great concept, nice value added service.

Compares to the two competitors I mentioned with the same price, the only advantage I can think of is easier parking, but that kind of seems like a small factor.

Also, 1000km range is crazy. Even the most range conscious people will have nothing to worry about. It's hard to even physically drive 1000km in one sitting
